Face Shop Mini Haul

I visited the Face Shop in Ward Centers today. Ward Center had a Festival of Giving event going on and TFS was having 20% off.

I purchased the following items:

1. Blackhead Out cleansing Foam - $13
2. Blackhead Out White Clay Nose Pack - $9 (I think it was that price)
3. Damage Repair Treatment - $13
4. Herb Day Cleansing Foam in Spearmint - $5
5. Clean Face Spot Corrector - $7

I haven't used any of these before, in fact, I haven't been to the Face Shop in years!

What are your favorite items from TFS? What do you love and what products weren't that great?

My all time favorite skin care brand right now is LUSH. I did a few hauls over the past month and hopefully I will be able to post my reviews of some of their AMAZING products.

Been away way too long

Do I even remember how to blog?

I have been buying makeup randomly throughout the past few years. I currently am more concerned about skincare due to a terrible year of breakouts and 'aging' skin.

30's are not the new 20's if we're talking about the ability of our skin to heal and let's not even talk about premature wrinkles.... LOL!

What are your favorite skin care products? I'm interested in all cleaners, toners, moisturizers and serums. If there are any other items I should be aware of, fill me in!

QUICK post - Hautelook & Cherryculture.com

Hi ladies! Just a quick post to let you know that there is an Urban Decay sale on at Hautelook. This is the first time that I have made a purchase at HL but I couldn't pass up the deal.  I purchased the set of 5 UD Glide on pencils ~ you know, the one they were selling at Macys and Sephora for (I believe) $32 or $36? I had wanted it so badly, but didn't want to pay that much when I didn't know how the product worked... I have the worst luck with pencil products - such as the NYX jumbo pencils, any kohl pencils, my Milani one just smudges....  anyway here is my personal referral link http://www.hautelook.com/short/3Bz0q

I will get a $10 credit if you sign up and make a purchase! Then you can refer people to purchase from their site also! They also have UDPP for $9. It is the one with  the doe foot applicator, but it works just as good and you can also depot it.

Cherryculture.com is having a sitewide 20% off sale with the code "v20" and it is good until tomorrow. Shipping is free if you spend $40 or more. I purchased some of their (LOL) NYX slide-on pencils which are supposedly a dupe of the UD glide on pencils. Its sort of funny b/c I spent a while yesterday looking for the NYX ones, and then I found out the UD ones were on sale! I purchased 4 of the slide on ones in gun metal, platinum, azure, and pink suede.  I also purchased one of their blushes in peach. The pencils came out to $5.60 and the blush at $3.60. I picked up a few blushes for one of my friends also so that I could get free shipping. I have a ton of their lipglosses, a couple of their blushes - which I LOVE! They are fantastic the pigmentation is wonderful and they aren't too powery or chalky. However, trying to stick to my budget so I needed to stick to what I 'needed'... ok you know that I really didn't need ANY of that but I had to have some of it! So I limited myself :)

Did you shop these sales? :)

I'll try to post again possibly later on today. Any requests? I have a ton of Nars that I haven't posted about including brushes and makeup. I have Milani blushes that I picked up late last year. I can show more pics of my Yaby palettes which I love.

Have a great Tuesdasy!

The Face Shop - in Hawaii!!!

I haven't really finished my Christmas shopping so I had decided earlier this week that Sunday would be the day. I did complete some of it, but I still have a few more presents to look for. I work all week so I guess I will be one of those late night crazy people fighting for parking at the mall!

As we were driving through town today, I glanced out the window at one of the strip malls and saw a sign that said "The Face Shop". I thought I was seeing things! If you don't know what The Face Shop is, its a Korean cosmetic company that originated in 1962 manufacturing cosmetics, that turned into a retail business in 2003.  They believe is in melding nature with beauty which is epitomized via naturalism, health and purity as a lifestyle (www.thefaceshopen.com).  Some of the things that I saw were: all sorts of cosmetics, bb creams, facial cleansing products, face masks, eyelashes, some brushes and other accessories. The funny thing is I was just briefly browsing their website the other day looking at bb creams. I think I was MOST excited about seeing bb creams in person since I am sort of interested in them.

This is the first time I've been IN a Face Shop store, so I just purchased a few things including:

  • Herb Day Cleansing Wipes (70 sheets - $8)
  • Lovely Me: Ex Makeup Base (In purple and in green, $5 each)
  • Eyelashes ($3 each)
One of the employees threw in samples of bb creams, serums, tonerss and a mask. I am excited to try out the tiny samples of bb creams to see what they are like.  I normally like medium coverage for my foundation, so I was thinking that bb creams may not be for me, until I am really confident about the condition of my skin.  My skin is not really bad per se, but I'm thinking my dark circles will not be concealed well with lighter weight face products.

Enough talk, here are a few pictures.  I'm sorry about the quality - I took them in my room when the sun was already going down and without any additional lighting :)

The sale girls told me that the face bases were for the younger girls and she pointed me to some of their Phytogenic Infinite Makeup Base - which was $21 or so. I ignored her suggestion (politely )and purchased some of the $5 base to test out the brand.

Have you tried The Face Shop? What do you like or don't like? What do you think about bb creams and which ones have you tried?
